Welcome to Bellesini Academy!

Bellesini Academy is an independent Catholic Middle School dedicated to providing quality, scholarship education to young men and women from Lawrence. The Academy provides an academically challenging and high structured environment that develops the potential for each student to succeed in competitive secondary schools and colleges through utilizing small classes, a rigorous curriculum, an extended school day, a month-long summer program and alumni support program. Bellesini follows a co-institutional model where student learn in single-sex academic classes and have opportunity to interest in positive ways through enrichment programs and school wide events. The primary goal of the Academy is to ensure that all graduates go on to complete high school and earn a four-year college degree. Our partnership begins now and does not end until you receive a 4-year college degree.

General Information and Expectations

  • All new students are required to attend the summer program.
  • During the academic year breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m. All students must arrive by 7:45 a.m.
  • Academic classes are 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Students have 6 academic classes a day.
  • All students wear a formal uniform during the academic day. Details will be given with acceptance letters.
  • After-school program is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students have a dress code for after-school and evening study program.
  • Dismissal is at 5 p.m.
  • All students are required to attend evening study on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Students must make honor roll for 2 consecutive quarters to be allowed to do their homework at home.
  • All parents must participate in the parent partnership program which includes 40 hours of community service a year, attending 4 parent education programs, and attending all school-wide family events (parent/teacher report card conferences, Science Fair, Christmas Show, Spring Show, etc.). Parents are required to pay $40 student activity fee each quarter.
