After-school hours are a critical time for youth. That time can represent either an opportunity to learn and grow, through quality after-school programs, or a time of risk to a student’s health and safety. At Bellesini, when academic classes end at 3 o’clock, the school day is only half over. The afternoon hours are part of a 12-hour extended school day in which students’ horizons are broadened, their characters built, and confidence boosted.
3:00 to 5:00 p.m. is a time when Bellesini students grow, learn, and have fun in a safe and structured environment. Students participate in a mandatory after-school program, five days a week and Saturday’s, under the supervision of their teachers, coaches, and committed volunteers. Activities change quarterly with the seasons, giving students the opportunity to experience a number of different activities.
