At 5 o’clock students go home for a break for dinner with their families. Students return at 6:30 p.m. to work on their homework. These two hour supervised study periods provide a quiet, safe and structured place for students to work and study. Evening study is one of the reasons students who attend Bellesini Academy are able to make such great academic strides (gaining two grade levels in reading, writing, and math each year), as they have a time to focus on their studies and ask questions about subjects with which they are struggling. In addition, the two hour session allows them to learn and practice good study habits that will help them throughout their academic careers, or for extra, individual tutoring by teachers and community volunteers.
