Each year, Cummings Foundation awards grants of $100,000 each to 100 local nonprofits. This $10 million in funding supports a diverse range of causes, including human services, education, healthcare, and social justice. While some of these grants are made as single-year awards, most are multi-year awards, with payments spread over two to 10 years.

100Kfor100 logoCummings Foundation, Inc. is a private operating foundation based in Woburn, Massachusetts. Since its establishment in 1986, it has been funded primarily by Joyce and Bill Cummings of Winchester, MA.  Cummings Foundation has grown to become one of the largest charitable foundations in New England, with just more than $1.2 billion in net assets as of December 2013.

Girls School Opening in September 2015!

Bellesini is Expanding!

The Academy will now have a Boys School and Girls School!

For the past 12 years, Bellesini Academy has had incredible success with young men in Lawrence.  The Academy’s leadership has long considered how the school might broaden its impact on the Lawrence community.  Starting in September, Bellesini will be opening a girls school.

We will be accepting applications for girls entering grade 6 for the 2015-16 school year. We will be adding one grade each year. Once we have completed the building we will accept girls in grades 5 though 8.

The Academy will be a co-institutional school.  Students will have all academic classes in single-sex environment and have opportunities to interact in positive ways through after-school programs and school wide events.

Our son Alejandro graduated from Bellesini in 2012 and now attends Austin Prep on full scholarship. We are excited that our daughter Penelope will have the same opportunity. What Bellesini has done for our family does not have a price tag.
